Once you have decided on a college

 

  • Are they an approved college
  • Payments, pay in full or installment
  • Which course is the most appropriate
  • At what stage during the courses could I charge people and the implecation i.e. taxes etc
  • Qualifications where people are able to claim from the health insurer
  • The type of insurances required
When Starting a business
  1. Have a business and marketing plan in place  Business plan where you will find a template
  2. Insurances are up to date and for correct coverage
  3. Where should I start working from - Home, shop front or with other health specialist, mobile and or corporate massage
  4. What do I need - Massage Table, oils, towels, stationary etc
  5. Who to advertise with, refer your marketing plan
  6. Which group/s should I be a member of i.e ATMS etc
  7. Be aware of what your responsibilities are lawful, dress code, draping et
  8. How will I take care of my own health - Back, hands, general health etc
  9. Types of communication - Ph, fax and email
  10. Create a website, 
  11. Is this going to be a business or a hobby
  12. In Australia, ensure you have applied for a ABN (Australian Business Number)
